Hi, I'm Geetha
I’m Geetha, a passionate artist, loving wife, and dedicated mother residing in Dallas, USA. I run Varnam Art Studio, offering art classes for all ages. Here is a glimpse into my background.
Welcome to my creative corner!
My artistic journey began as a child, when I realized my love for art and the joy it gave me. However, I only took it up as a hobby, and pursued a career as a software engineer. During my corporate career, my solace and joy came from painting and crafting during my free hours.
A few years in, the birth of my son sparked a significant shift in my perspective and priorities. The demands of a full-time job became overwhelming, and I made the bold decision to leave my corporate career to pursue my true passion- Art.
Under my sister’s guidance, who is a renowned art teacher in Chennai, India, I delved into Indian traditional painting styles like Kerala Mural and Madhubani Art. I have since honed my skills through attending workshops by skilled artists and experimenting on my own. I can now confidently work across various mediums, including pastels, acrylics, oils, and watercolors, with a particular fondness for the latter. As a member of local art groups, I enjoy showcasing my work in galleries and connecting with fellow artists.
Apart from just creating art. I’ve also found immense joy in teaching and sharing what I’ve learnt. I started art classes for children, and discovered the delight in nurturing young talent. My passion continued to grow as I relocated to New Jersey, USA.
Art has changed me profoundly—it has become a form of meditation, offering peace and clarity. I am now a certified therapeutic art life coach. I’m eager to extend this transformative experience to others, helping them find healing and mindfulness through art.
Now settled in Dallas, I find fulfillment in both teaching and creating art. I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love every day, creating art and inspiring others to do the same.
